I'm off for a quick weekend in Chicago. I'd ask for yarn-store advice, but I'll only be there 3 short days. Dont worry Chicago Knitters, I'll be exploiting you for advice in about a month: I'll be spending the last half of August and the first week of September living in your wonderful city!

I needed something last minute for plane/travel knitting tomorrow morning. This seemed, to me, a perfect time to justify breaking into the Yorkshire Tweed DK bag... I've started sweater #3 (a variation of EZ's Seamless Hybrid Sweater), all for the sake of bamboo needles [I realize aluminum/metal needles are now OK for plane trips, but I like to play it safe. If TSA gave me an ultimatum regarding my addi turbos, I probably wouldn't end up on the plane.]

Seamless Hybrid Start

Have a great weekend - I'll post more upon return to NYC.

and what are you doing up this late?

What beautiful yarn for that sweater! I hope you enjoy your time here in Chicago.

Have fun in the Chi!

Say Hello to Chi-town for me... I'm originally from Illinois! The Windy City is good times - enjoy and travel safe!

never had a problem with my metal circs on planes.

What a gorgeous color!

Enjoy your trip to Chicago, it's a lovely city.

Have a lovely trip! :)

Love your knitting and your pix. What kind of camera do you use?

Have a great trip!

Have a good time! Packing the knitting for a trip is always fun.

Oh, this is going to become such a gorgeous sweater, I so love the yarn you're using! Looking forward to seeing more of it!
Have a safe travel and a great time in Chicago!

Gorgeous! Love that colour - now are you doing some fancy double knit sweater, cuz I stared and stared and it looks like you have a brown tweed going on the inside... hmmm

Have a great time - that color is beautiful! Very striking.

If you need suggestions for restaurants, yarn shops, etc., when you return to Chicago, I'm happy to help.

I was wondering why the piece was brown on the inside too...

Hello! I'm don't speak english, but I love to see your work. This blog is so beautiful!
Thanks

How did you do the turned hem? I would like to do something like that for an EZ sweater for my husband.

Thanks!
