My Requests For A Wool Tassle Were Ignored
But this one works too! It's been a turbulent 2 years - too quiet around the blog on my part and all-too unquiet everywhere else! Thanks for sticking with me as I powered through my MFA.

I'm taking a week off (from everything), then I'll be headed over the pond to go bananas at UK Ravelry Day. I'll be teaching alongside Meg Swansen, Wooly Wormhead, Debbie Bliss, and many others whose presence I am absolutely honored to be in!

Here's to a new chapter - one where there is much more time for knitting!

Congratulations! Have a great time in the UK and I look forward to your further knitting adventures.

Well done! Looking forward to seeing more of you and your projects in the future. Have a great time in the UK. I'm envious!

Congrats on your sterling accomplishments. And the future holds more time for stepping out to meet new knitting friends, I hope.

Wow, what company you will be in! Your the new star on the block.

Enjoy and looking forward to your new future.

And a wool tassel would have been so perfect!

Congratulations! I just finished most of Girasole. I am at the knitted edge point. I loved working the whole thing. Hopefully, I can figure out how to do this edging. I have never done one, and I just don't 'get' what I'm supposed to do. Once, while pre-reading directions for a lace shawl, I told a friend that I didn't understand what I was going to do. She gave me good advice " just do it. It will come to you as you knit it". She was totally right, so when I get some quiet time, I am going to sit and start knitting.. it will come to me..
I look forward to more wonderful things from you now that you aren't studying.

Congratulations! Have a wonderful time in the UK.

Congrats on the MFA!

Yay! Congratulations!

Congratulations on your amazing accomplishments!

Wonderful picture - it just made me smile :o)
Congrats on finishing your MFA and all the best for your knitty future.

Congratulations and enjoy UK Ravelry Day! I think it will be a great new chapter!

Congratulations on finishing your MA! My husband just finished his MA (human development) so I know how exciting it can be! We'd love to have you in our shop in CA, so if you decide to make the rounds in CA, add Compatto Yarn Salon to your list! :)

Many congratulations! And best wishes on the Next Thing (whatever It is!) Your loyal fans await.

Congratulations! Have a great trip to the UK!

Congrats! I look forward to your further [knitting] adventures.

Congratulations! Love the tassel shot.

So they did not honor your request for a wool tassel...make your own! I'm sure you have a few yards of wool laying around somewhere. If not, let me know and I'll make one for you :-)

Congratulations on earning the tassel and welcome back. We've missed you.

Congrats Jared! It's a pretty good feeling to finally earn that Master's :) I know I was pretty happy when mine was done!

Congratulations! Enjoy your well earned break--I can't wait to see what you come back with!

MFA and UK = AOK!

Looking forward to your next chapter.

Congratulations!! I just finished a master's myself so I know the feeling -- isn't it a great one? (I walk Thursday. I think I'm going to sneak some socks in in case things get boring!)

What will be you teaching about?

Awesome! Great job finishing your work. I hate to tell you, but the amount of "free time" doesn't go up in proportion to the "course work time". It's a silly freak of nature...but enjoy the additional knitting time!

Congratulations Jared, I've been a reader for what seems like years and have you listed in my favorites on my blog but I've never posted a comment before (unless you count my comments on the Hemlock Ring I made last summer). Here's to wonderful new patterns and lots of inspiration in the coming year.

WAY TO GO!! what a great accomplishment to add to your many obvious talents!

Congrats! A trip to the UK is a perfect way to celebrate such an accomplishment.

Frankly, I didn't know you were working on an MFA and teaching and knitting. If this has been a "slow" couple of years, I'm scared to see the ramp up.

Hey! With a little one, there truly and honestly more important, let me say, most important things in life to attend to! Have a wonderful time in the UK, you certainly deserve to be there !

Well done, you! And aren't we lucky to have the promise of more of your delicious knitting!

WOOHOO!!! Way to go, Jared! Congratulations!! Love the non-wool tassel!

Habitat Hat: I just purchased this pattern on ravelry, and I’m so excited about starting it. I have a question, if I wanted to make it a slouchier tam-type hat, would it be possible to repeat chart A a second time? Would the stitches line up, because it looks that way.

oops... ravelry ID underreigns

Congratulations, Jared! Enjoy your UK Ravelry experience. Sounds like a great way to celebrate your accomplishment!

Congratulations. I am only an occasional commenter but I want to say I am so proud of you. Everything you have accomplished during the last 2 years is so amazing, and what a great graduation present to be going to England! And to be in such company! Hooray for you.

Fabulous! Congratulations! I love the tassel display. I will say that I have on occasion *added* extra danglies to my mortarboard during a commencement ceremony. I bet any tassel designed by you would have been much more fabulous. That said, the one you earned is fantastic. All best wishes on the next stage of your journey.

I've been thinking about you lately. Congrats.

Congratulations on your MFA. I've enjoyed your blog and your beautiful pictures. Looking forward to your post about UK Ravelry Day.
