Check these out:
K's birthday socks. That masterful dye job is all Sundara.
A pair of striped Elann Esprit socks for me.
The Seamless Hybrid is blocking .... I'm getting anxious for it to dry. I think it'll be at least another day or two though.
Oh, and thank you for all the Chi-town Tips. I checked out Loopy yesterday and am going to hit up a few more LYS's tomorrow.
hey, yo! i actually went to tangled web out in oak park, and the shelves were pretty bare. they did have some various rowan yarns lying about (calmer, some other cottony ones). i can't really remember what else. (i actually managed to leave with only one ball of calmer. imagine!)
ReplyDeleteOooo, that Sundara colorway is gorgeous and is knitting up very nicely.
ReplyDeleteah, that sundara yarn is just gorgeous! she really dyes up some luscioud yarn :)
ReplyDeleteThat Sundara yarn is seriously yummy! So rich in colours!
ReplyDeleteSocks are always good portable projects. I like those striped socks. Two questions. What type of dpns are those and how do you like the Elann yarn?
ReplyDeleteHow do you like the Elann Esprit? The colors and price make it pretty tempting...
ReplyDeleteHey! I've been reading your blog for a while, you knit some great stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what size needles you're using and what gauge you're getting with the Elann Esprit. The gauge listed seems like it would be too open.
socks! finally some action around here ;-)
ReplyDeletewhen you say k's bday socks, you wouldn't happen to refer to me? because that is one gorgeous yarn and, well, my bday is only a month or so away :D
Beautiful socks! I like that Sundara color - what is the name of the colorway?
ReplyDeleteThe striped socks are great also. Good color choices. Can't wait to see the reveal of the sweater once it's dry!
Nice socks! How are you handling the yarn ends for the stripey ones? Are you carrying the yarn over or weaving in? Hope you're having fun in Chicago.
ReplyDeleteThe socks look great. I'm interested too on how you're dealing with the color change with the Elann yarn. Are you carrying the yarn?
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to know what size needle you use when you knit Esprit/Fixation.
ReplyDeleteI have the same feeling about sock knitting, but I figure there must be something to it I'm missing, so I keep going at it... The color combination in Elann stripey socks is incredible - you've got a great sense for color!
ReplyDeleteYour knitting, your color choices and your photograpy are impeccable! One of my favorite blogs to read! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYour socks look great! I love your knitting - it is so beautiful and even on those tiny needles!
ReplyDeletehooray for socks! boy, oh boy, is that sundara yarn purty. can't wait to see both socks all knit up. :)
ReplyDeleteI was so hoping someone would make socks out of the Elann Esprit before I did. Now I know that I can use the extra from Sizzle to make some rockin' socks! Love the stripes, by the way.
